Tips for booking Holiday Packages
|
|
Looking for cheap holidays? Who not! Then our holidays search will help you to find a huge range of cheap holidays and holiday packages, from low end holiday providers, all inclusive holidays and high end luxury holiday packages. This includes special offers by online travel agencies which can often be cheaper than booking direct with the holiday provider.
We allow you to compare as many holidays and holiday packages you want for free to your chosen destination and the option to pick days either side to give you more holidays to consider. Often by moving your holiday date by a day or week can save huge amounts of money.
The key to getting a great holiday deal is to be flexible and to book early for your chosen dates. Midweek departures are generally cheaper than those from Friday through to Monday. Booking holidays early can ensure you not only get a holiday booking on your chosen date, you can also get a big discount on the holiday rates available at the last minute. Remember if you need to travel at peak dates such as bank holidays and school holidays, prices for your holiday will be higher so an early booking gets a great deal.
You should also consider departures from other airports in your area for your holiday. For example, living in the Midlands you can consider holiday departures from your own area, the South West, London and the North West, all within easy distance. People in Scotland should always consider holiday departures from Newcastle or Manchester as well as taking a cheap flight to London for flights from the capital. Those in London should consider Southend, Southampton and Bristol as options to start their holidays as usual airports of the capital.
Consider holidays in premium destinations and VIP destination when travelling to your holiday destinations. These can be more competitive than you think and also provide a range of additional benefits such as use of use of business lounges, premium bed, private terrace and holiday room services.
And when considering you options don't forget to cost your holiday in full. Many holiday providers charge extra for sauna, fitness, massage, bike rentals and card payment. Taking the lead in price is an indication of the cost however these add ons can add a substantial amount to the holiday fee. Most premium holiday providers include those items so comparing the total price is important to find the true price of your holiday package deal.

Holiday packing tips
The well-deserved holiday break that you have been waiting for is finally here and it's time to pack your suitcase.
And how do you make sure you don't forget essential items and how do you fit everything you need into your bag? Follow our grandmothers' tips below to make packing easy so you don't forget a thing. Know your limits Before you decide on which suitcase to use and what to pack, check your airline's baggage limits in terms of size, but also in terms of weight. Look for both the weight and size limits and don't be tempted to go over, not even a kg, as charges for doing so are high and airlines like to charge you this big extra fee for extra baggage. And don't just assume that you know these limits as you have flown recently, as they vary from airline to airline and from time to time. Make a list Think about where you are going, beach holiday, jungle holiday or city trip, and what you plan to do while away and make a list of items you will need for sure - use our list below as a starting point and add any personal items to it. Look up weather reports in your holiday destination before you pack to make sure you take appropriate clothes and cold or warm clothes. And don't forget essentials such as medications you may take, any important documents you will need and toiletries including suncream. Do you really need it? Before you take your entire wardrobe into your bag, think carefully about what you will actually need while away on holidays and what you will actually wear during your holiday. While it might be nice to have pair of shoes to match each outfit, ask yourself: will you actually wear them or will you stick to your comfortable holiday flip-flops? Pack a “mini wardrobe” - a small number of items that can be mixed and matched to make up several different outfits - to reduce the amount of clothes you take and you will be happy you did. Travel smart = Travel light = Great holiday! How to pack Whether you are a believer in rolling your clothes to minimise creasing, or if you fold everything , follow our tips: • Start by packing heavy items at the bottom of your case to prevent crushing and creasing everything else • Save space and weight by packing lots of thin layers • Tick items off your list as you pack to be sure you haven't left anything behind • Pack your valuables in your hand luggage • Don't forget to put toiletries in your hand luggage into a clear plastic bag and make sure they are max 100ml or less • Wear heavy items such as boots and coats rather than packing them. |
